Lissie (cover of Metallica): Nothing Else Matters

Lissie is an American Indie-rock artist from Rock Island, Illinois. I'm a huge Metallica fan and this cover is everything the original offers, but in a different package. She does an excellent job covering the song, with respect to the original, mood and intonation. Her voice fits in the niche somethin' fierce.

Gem Club: Twins

Gem Club is an American (Boston, Mass.) project involving a musician, a cellist and a vocalist that is nothing short of  haunting and soul-touching. The band has been featured on several shows, including ABC's Reven8e because of their beauty.

The Get (remix of Dawn Golden and Rosy Cross): Blacks

Gary Get does a really nice job mixing such a beautiful song, blending the smooth ambient with glitches and beats in a fashion that doesn't destroy what was already present in the original song.

Ra Cailum: Lake Michigan

Ra Cailum is a synth-pop group that originated in Saint Louis, Missouri. The slow feel to this song, combined with a heavy use of synth creates a trippy feel that is relaxing at the same time. The name is a fairly obvious (if you watched the show) reference to Gundam battleship of the same name, perhaps leading to the use of esoteric technological influence.

Man, spell-check really hates this article. A lot. There's a ton of red lines everywhere.

Happy Trendy: Sweaty Palms and Allergic to Cats

Happy Trendy is an Canadian (Dylan Khotin-Foote) who utilizes a mix between synths and indie-rock to produce something that's pleasantly weird. The lyrics aren't deep, but are pretty meaningful to any introvert.

4 Strings: Take Me Away

SO MUCH DANCE; 4 Strings is a nice dance compiler, with some really nice vocals. Recently, they've taken quite a turn from this, but still remain in the realm of dance.

"Take me away from here, a million miles away from here."
