This track is a take on Nils Frahm's You. Frahm, being a student of Nahum Brodski (taught by Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky), plays ridiculously well, and is versed well in both the classical and contemporary stylings. His melodic chords are gorgeous!

The Neighbourhood: Sweater Weather

Stage: early 2012. A mysterious band appeared on the interwebs. The group, The Neighbourhood, revealed no bio, no photos nor backstory, offering only a moody track titled “Female Robbery.” Fans and the press were confounded confused and a little lost, endlessly sculling the net for any kernel of information that might lead them to the identity of these mysterious musicians. Pieces of the puzzle, some reflecting reality and some not so much, began to crystallize. The Neighbourhood were a quintet; They were from California--in spite of the Britishization of their name. Then, “Sweater Weather,” which had an accompanying — and equally dark — video.

Although The Neighbourhood’s identity remained in question, reality was that the music they were making felt transformative to critics and fans alike. The evocative combination of rock instruments with R&B and hip-hop aesthetics seemed, in many ways, revolutionary, a re-imagining of sounds that left everyone wanting MORE.

Stage: 2013. The Neighbourhood are an American alternative rock/dark pop band that formed in Newbury Park, California in August 2011. The band consists of members Jesse Rutherford, Riff Raff, Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, Mikey Margott, and Bryan Sammis.

Keljet remix of The Temper Trap: Love Lost

Keljet is an indie-disco project involving Netherlands natives, Koen Mestrum and Teun Pranger, who have produced various original and remixed songs with astounding awesomeness. The indie-disco ideology that they indoctrinate songs with is infectious, and I don't have an antidote.

The Temper Trap is an Austrailian indie-rock band from Melbourne, though now relocated to London, England. 

Giselle: Silk

Giselle is a native of Sydney who is classically-trained; her music feeds off of classical piano and a passion for exotic instruments. The conglomerate consists of electronic, folk, and dream pop. The use of electronics allows her to paint canvases with organic sounds and pastels comprised of her smooth, child-like voice. Also, if you've heard "Crave You" by Flight Facilities...guess who provided some vocals?! This gal. 

Keep Shelly In Athens: Recollection

Keep Shelly in Athens is a Greek duo. Combining electronic melody with some low beats and sprinkling on a bit of high lyrics, you come up with Recollection. Their first (and so far, only) album sold out, quickly.

Kuedo: Whisper Fate

Kuedo is a project of Jamie Teasdale, formerly a member of Vex'd, of Berlin, Germany. The combination of the dissonance, steel drums, rapid-fire back beat and light bass is super pleasant to the senses. 

Slow Magic: On Yr Side

Slow Magic is a serious chill-trip. Mellow just exudes from the beats. For lack of a better word, this song is dope. Somehow blending electronic beats and echoing lyrics into a mellow fashion, you can just relax with this song while feelin' it. 

Mike Landry: Heartbeats

I don't really know a lot about Canadian Mark Landry. Other than this pleasant little blend of indietronica, he's fairly new onto the scene. He utilizes clean vocals, piano, xylophone and various electronic sounds to create this heartbeat. I'd like to see the EKG on it, cause it's pretty chill. 

Ra Cailum: Lake Michigan

Ra Cailum is a synth-pop group that originated in Saint Louis, Missouri. The slow feel to this song, combined with a heavy use of synth creates a trippy feel that is relaxing at the same time. The name is a fairly obvious (if you watched the show) reference to Gundam battleship of the same name, perhaps leading to the use of esoteric technological influence.

Happy Trendy: Sweaty Palms and Allergic to Cats

Happy Trendy is an Canadian (Dylan Khotin-Foote) who utilizes a mix between synths and indie-rock to produce something that's pleasantly weird. The lyrics aren't deep, but are pretty meaningful to any introvert.

Small Black: Love's not Enough

Small Black is an Indie band out of Brooklyn, New York. They're mostly chill, electronica and a hint of indie. I love the combo.

These guys are chill as a dream.

FISHING: Choy Lin

Fishing is a duo from Sydney, Australia who play with glitch electronica. Doug Wright and Russell Fitzgibbon are normally the vocalist and drummer for indie-rock band We Say Bamboulee, but divert attention to this side project and create remixes of other songs, as well as original work. I give their experiment a cool chill plus. 

Deptford Goth: UNION

Deptford Goth is the stage name of British experimental pop producer, artist and chill guy, Daniel Woolhouse. His music exists as an example of real and synthetic, produced partially electronically and partially with a voice as spectral as the afterlife. His synths are pretty hip, and his beat is sparse but real enough for me. 

Young The Giant: 12 Fingers

Young The Giant is an indie-rock group from Irvine, California. The idea for the group came out of left field, and their name and sound matches. They go against the norm of alternative rock, and they're about as chill as my freezer. They've received a serious amount of cred, in the form of multiple top tens on the Billboard Chart for Alternative Songs.

Blackbird Blackbird: Tear

Blackbird Blackbird is the professional moniker of San Fransisco, California based Mikey Maramag. He blends together dream-like electronica with folk in a deeply textured and hypnotic fashion, making Tear a perfect example of the layering of electronica over ghostly vocals and folk music.

Ra Calium: Seldom Does It Matter

Chromatic chords and bright technology combined in something of a citrus-y flavored music.

Mathemagic: Breaststroke

An Ontarian trio that exude so much calm.

B.U.I.L.T.: Summer Wine

A nice mix of baby-making music and indie-rock. Some things are better when blended. b.u.i.l.t. is a Bloomington, IN based fellow who exists as an example of what the 1990's can do to your brain--this piece of pop, electronic, and R&B is spectacularly executed; making Boyz II Men, Brandi, Prince, TLC and any other of the age's greats proud.
